Airport Security Isn't There to Stop Your Holiday. They're There to Help Make Sure You Have One.
A reminder that airport security staff are people working to keep travellers safe, and that patience and kindness matter.
Airport procedures can feel frustrating, but the people carrying them out are there to protect every traveller.
Behind Every Uniform Is a Person
For many travellers, the airport is the exciting start of a holiday or the anticipation of returning home. Yet it can also be confusing, busy and stressful. Long queues, unfamiliar procedures and the worry of forgetting something important can leave tempers running high. When you're asked to remove your laptop, empty your pockets or surrender a bottle of water, it's easy to see the security checkpoint as an obstacle. In reality, the people on the other side of the scanner are there to protect every passenger. A smile, a patient word or a simple thank you costs nothing, yet it can completely change someone's day.
Be Patient. Be Respectful. Be Kind.
Security isn't there to stop your holiday. They're there to help make sure you have one.
Allow time, follow instructions and treat airport staff with respect.
