Ours started in airport departure halls. For years, I watched the same scene play out again and again. Someone would arrive at the gate looking confident—until they saw the baggage sizer. Suddenly there would be measuring with hands, anxious glances, jackets being hurriedly stuffed into backpacks, frantic repacking on the floor, or hopeful attempts to persuade a slightly overfilled bag into a space that looked just a little too small. Sometimes it worked. Often it didn't. Then came the dreaded words: "That will be an extra £50, please." It wasn't just about the money. It was the uncertainty, the stress and the embarrassment. Surely there had to be a better way.

The Question That Became WillItFit

On 15 June 2026 that question became an idea. What if there was a simple website where travellers could check before they left home? That idea became WillItFit. Not another travel blog. Not another comparison site. Just a straightforward tool that answers one simple question: Will it fit?

Building something that feels simple has taken months of planning, research, design, engineering and testing. Behind every result sits careful research into airline baggage policies, user journeys and continuous refinement. At the heart and soul of WillItFit remains the baggage checker. Everything else exists to support that experience.

Today, RC5 represents the latest evolution of that original idea. Behind the scenes are robust publishing workflows, validated content, carefully researched airline information and a growing knowledge base designed to make travel easier.

The Mission Has Not Changed

WillItFit continues to evolve, but the mission remains exactly the same as it was on day one: reduce uncertainty, save travellers money and remove unnecessary stress. Travel should begin with excitement—not anxiety beside an airport baggage sizer.
